John Lamb primus (1799-1875)

A shipping agent in Muscovy Court near the Tower of London, he exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1832 to 1834.

This painting, A Midsummer Night’s Dream “What angel wakes me from my flowery bed?” (1834) was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1834 no 522, and again at the same venue in Victorian Fairy Paintings 1997 (no 9).

John Lamb secundus (1839-1909)

Painter and commission agent of Muscovy Court London, his watercolours were exhibited from 1889 to 1909 at the Dudley Gallery.

This painting, On a Bat’s Back (c1880) was also exhibited at the RA Victorian Fairy Paintings exhibition 1997 (no 66).
